nyx stepped into the rather empty mall on a cool winters day. with a hum, she let her deep blue eyes scan around the mall. the girl remembered when it was full of life around this particular time of year. she often visited the building when she was a little girl. memories of the past came flooding to her as her lips curled down. children laughing, a christmas tree set up in the middle. these were times long forgotten and yet they seemed to creep up at the worst of times.

nyx shook her head and pulled her heavy coat closer to her. hearing a set of footsteps behind her, she didn't even have to look to see who it was. chaos walked up to stand beside his trainer like a faithful guard dog. "let's look around and see what we can find, chaos...i really do not wish to be here longer than i have to." she spoke, her voice unusually monotone.

the absol looked up at nyx with a worried gaze before nodding and walking with the young teenager.
